{"id":13,"date":"2009-05-27T12:59:42","date_gmt":"2009-05-27T10:59:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.caw.co.za\/?p=13"},"modified":"2009-05-27T12:59:42","modified_gmt":"2009-05-27T10:59:42","slug":"importing-pastel-partner-customer-contacts-into-sms-client","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.caw.co.za\/?p=13","title":{"rendered":"Importing Pastel Partner customer contacts into SMS Client"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The ability to import Pastel customer details is available from SMS Client version 1.1.0 and later.<\/p>\n<h3>Export the Pastel customer records<\/h3>\n<p>Open the Pastel software.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click the <span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier\">File<\/span> menu, then <span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier\">Import \/ Export<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>Under <span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier\">Choose a Function to Perform<\/span> select <span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier\">Export Customer Accounts<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>Under <span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier\">Export File Name<\/span> enter\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier\">C:\\cust.txt<\/span> if you are using Windows XP, or<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier\">C:\\Users\\cust.txt<\/span> if you are using Windows Vista<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Click on <span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier\">Process<\/span> to export the records.<\/li>\n<li>Click on <span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier\">Close<\/span> to close the export window.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Import the Pastel customer records<\/h3>\n<p>Open the SMS Client software<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click the <span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier\">File<\/span> menu, then <span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier\">Import<\/span>, then <span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier\">Pastel Customers<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0In the <span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier\">Filename<\/span> box, enter\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier\">C:\\cust.txt<\/span> if you are using Windows XP, or<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier\">C:\\Users\\cust.txt<\/span> if you are using Windows Vista<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Place a check in the box <span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier\">Replace existing customer details with Pastel details<\/span> if you want to overwrite the existing records in SMS Client with the Pastel customer details.<\/li>\n<li>Click <span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier\">Ok<\/span> to import the records.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The ability to import Pastel customer details is available from SMS Client version 1.1.0 and later.
